Freeze Drum Skinning Machine - FD 300
The new FD 300 skinning machine has been designed to skin different kind of fish fillets with high precision and
at the same time maintaining good fillet apearance and a high yield
This is attained due to its effective operational system based on the principle of freezing the skin to a refrigerated drum to mainain a good hold on the skin before cutting with a rotating band knife.
Examples of species we are able to skin are:
Haddock, Whiting, Coley, Cod, Mackerel, Sardines, Herring, Salmon and Trout
The machine is manufactured to a very high standard in AISI-316 stainless steel and non-toxic and
The robust design characteristics and simple operation enable the machine to operate effectively on land based fctories and on processing vessels.
The operating principle is that fillets are presented to the freezing drum with the skin facing upwards on the convyor bands.
The frozen drum rotates the wet skin of the fish sticks to the drum allowing it to be effective transported to the rotating band knife to cut the skin very close to the drum for maximum yield.
The band knife can be adjusted a set distance from the drum to allow for both shallow and deep skinning at a pre determined thickness.
